The NHL season continues Saturday, Jan. 3, with the return of ABC Hockey Saturday featuring an Eastern Conference matchup between Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins facing Alex DeBrincat and the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Red Wings at Noon ET. Both teams, vying for playoff position, renew a rivalry that traces back to their back‑to‑back Stanley Cup Final showdowns – Detroit’s championship win in 2008 and Pittsburgh’s return victory in 2009.
